8 Hurt After Mace Spraying Incident At NYC Station: NYPD

The incident happened on Sunday night, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for a person who allegedly sprayed mace aboard a New York City train, injuring eight people on Sunday.

The incident happened on a southbound No.4 train at the 14th St- Union Sq. station in Manhattan around 9:40 p.m., police said.

Four people were taken to a local hospital in stable condition for treatment, while four others were treated at the scene, police said.

The suspect fled the train after the incident, police said. A possible description of the suspect has not been released.
