Assault Rifle Found In NYC Station Trash Can, NYPD Seeking Culprit
The NYPD has since disposed of the weapon and are now trying to determine who put the weapon in the trash can as of Monday morning.

NEW YORK CITY — Police continue to investigate how an AR-15 style rifle ended up in a trash can inside a New York City station this past weekend.
At the Cortlandt Street Station around 3:15 p.m. on Friday, an MTA worker cleaning the subway station found an AM-15 rifle in a trash can. An AM-15 rifle is a semi-automatic AR-style rifle.
The rifle was empty and no magazines or bullets were recovered, police said.
