Attacker Bashes Subway Rider's Head With Rock Inside NYC Station
The incident happened inside the 14th Street and Eighth Avenue station in Chelsea

NEW YORK CITY — A unknown man bashed a subway rider with a rock in a random attack inside a Manhattan subway station Wednesday, police said.
The 56-year-old victim was inside the 14th Street and Eighth Avenue station in Chelsea around 12:30 p.m when the suspect came up and hit the man multiple times in the head with a rock.
The unknown attacker fled the scene and ran out of the station, police said.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect is still at large, no arrests have been made as of Thursday evening.
