Bill De Blasio Comes Down With Bug, Cancels Events
The mayor was scheduled to host a town hall in Manhattan on Thursday and appear on "The Brian Lehrer Show" Friday morning.

NEW YORK, NY — Bill de Blasio has the flu — maybe. The mayor canceled some public appearances Thursday night and Friday after coming down with a flu-like illness, his top spokesman said.
"It may turn out to just be a virus and not the flu, but he’s sick nonetheless," mayoral press secretary Eric Phillips said in an email.
De Blasio was scheduled to host a town hall Thursday night with City Councilman Ben Kallos and take questions from callers on WNYC's "The Brian Lehrer Show" on Friday morning. Both events were canceled.
