Body Found In Philly Is Likely Missing Bronx Mom, Reports Say

Authorities believe the body found in a basement is that of a missing Bronx woman.

THE BRONX, NY – Police found a decomposed body in Philadelphia Sunday and authorities believe the body is that of a missing Bronx woman.

According to ABC7 in New York, Vianela Tavera, 50, went missing after coming to Philadelphia to see her reported boyfriend, Luis Negron Martinez, last week.

The partially decomposed body was found in a basement of a home on the 400 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard Sunday night, Action News reports.

It was found after neighbors complained about a foul smell in the area, according to Fox 29.

While the body is not confirmed to be Tavera, police in Pennsylvania and New York are working to identify the remains.

Tavera is a mother of five and a school bus driver, according to the New York Post.

The Post is reporting Martinez, 38, was arrested in Virginia after he was found with Tavera’s car, in which police found a gun and blood.
