Bronx Zoo Cat Lady Returns For Dances With Lions: Reports, Source
A woman in a leopard-print wrap jumped the Bronx Zoo lion's den barrier to tell the cats, "I missed you!" according to sources and reports.
NEW YORK CITY — She dances with lions, and she wears leopard print while she does it.
Self-proclaimed "lioness" Mayah Autry, who was caught leaping the barrier to serenade the Bronx Zoo cats in 2019, is suspected of returning to the lion's den this week bearing gifts of roses and cash, according to police sources and reports.
Video released Friday by NBC News shows the woman — sporting a blonde wig and a leopard print wrap — tossing bouquets of flowers and $100 bills at the lions about 4 p.m. Thursday, according to reports and a Bronx Zoo spokesperson.

Autry, of Brownsville, was arrested in November 2019 on criminal trespass charges for her alleged dances with lions and giraffes, Patch reported at the time.
The then-33-year-old documented her journey into the lion's den and shared it with followers on Instagram, whom she told, "I Entered His Home in Peace & He let me Leave in Peace."
A Bronx Zoo spokesperson said while the woman jumped a barrier, she never entered the exhibit which is surrounded by a ravine.
"This situation involves one individual who is determined to harass our lions," the spokesperson said.
"The Bronx Zoo has a zero tolerance policy in matters such as this and will aggressively seek prosecution against this individual and anyone who violates park safety rules."
