Christmas Day Weather: What's In Store For The Holiday In NYC

NEW YORK, NY — If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, your dreams might not come true. Christmas Day in New York City will be mild and wet, with a high temperature of 47 degrees and a 50 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service's latest forecast.

A low pressure system is expected to move into the city on Friday, bringing at least a 40 percent chance of rain throughout the holiday weekend.

The weekend's higher-than-normal temperatures will range from the low 40s to mid-50s, making it unlikely that any of that rain will turn into a wintry mix.

All this means you should bring an umbrella and a jacket if you'll be out and about on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
