Code Blue Issued In NYC With Frigid Temperatures Expected Overnight

NEW YORK CITY —New York City has declared a "code blue" with temperatures expecting to drop around freezing Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

A code blue is activated when temperatures are forecasted to drop to 32 degrees or lower. It will be in effect from 4 p.m. until 8 a.m. Wednesday.

During that time there will be increased outreach to homeless people, and they will offer access to shelters to those in need.
