Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright Set To Resign: Report

NEW YORK CITY — Deputy mayor Sheena Wright will reportedly step down, becoming the latest individual in the Adams administration to resign after federal authorities raided her home and others last month.
Wright's could be forced to resign as soon as Friday, according to a New York Post report.
A City Hall spokesperson didn’t confirm or deny Wright’s departure.

Governor Kathy Hochul has reportedly told Mayor Eric Adams to make personnel changes following Tim Pearson's departure, according to multiple media reports.
The New York City Charter gives Hochul the power to suspend and remove Adams from his job.

Wright's home was among those raided by federal agents on Sept. 4.
NYPD commissioner Edward Caban phone was seized in the raid, and he would later resign amid a corruption probe. Chief legal counsel Liza Zornberg also announced her resignation following the raids.
In addition, school Chancellor David Banks confirmed that he would be stepping down later this month, Patch previously reported.
