Emmy Squared Tosses New Eatery Into Park Slope Pizza Scene
A new outpost of Emmy Squared Pizza recently opened on Fifth Avenue and promises to bring Detroit-style pies to the neighborhood.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A new pizzeria promises to hit Park Slopers square in their taste buds.
Emmy Squared, a pizza and burger chain, quietly opened shop along Fifth Avenue and Third Street this month.
The new location is something of a homecoming for the restaurant, which — despite its specialty of Detroit-style pizzas — started in New York City.

“Emmy Squared Pizza has deep roots in Brooklyn having been born just down the street in Williamsburg,” said Howard Greenstone, restaurant's CEO, in a statement.
The Park Slope location is the restaurant's sixth in the city and 20th outpost overall.

Locals would be familiar with the 315 Fifth Ave. location as the former home of the French eatery Nubleu.
But it appears Nubleu gave up the spot and opened a chance for Emmy Squared to move in. The company signed a 10-year lease and filed for a liquor license in the fall, Patch previously reported.
About the same time, Emmy Squared opened up pizza shops in Hells Kitchen and Midtown, according to a company release.
Emmy Squared's fare in Park Slope promises to be the same as its other spots: square pizza pies with crispy bottoms and fluffy dough, locally sourced ingredients and the double-stack "Le Big Matt Burger," the menu states, along with a release.
