FDNY Battles 2-Alarm Fire At 13-Story Building In Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY — Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire that spread from the roof of a 13-story building in Manhattan on Wednesday.

The blaze started at 451 Broome St. between Mercer Street and Broadway, with firefighters arriving at the scene just before 3 p.m., the FDNY said.

Firefighters could be seen battling the fire on the roof, according to FDNY photos posted on X.

By around 4:02 p.m., the fire was put under control, officials said.

No injuries were reported from the fire.
