'Additional Criminal Conduct' By Mayor Adams Uncovered, Feds Say
The new development means that Adams could face more criminal charges in his federal corruption case.
NEW YORK CITY — The U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York disclosed that they have uncovered “additional criminal conduct” by Mayor Eric Adams, according to a court memo filed on Monday.
The new development means that Adams could face more criminal charges in his federal corruption case.
The criminal conduct wasn't revealed in the court filing, but prosecutors said they have uncovered more crimes and other possible co-conspirators, according to multiple media reports.

The court memo appears to be made in response to Adams' request for more information about the evidence in his criminal case.
The mayor has apparently asked for a list of "every alleged co-conspirator."

"Although the Indictment and discovery provide Adams with more than sufficient information as to his alleged co-conspirators and aiders and abettors, law enforcement has continued to identify additional individuals involved in Adams's conduct, and to uncover additional criminal conduct by Adams," the filing said.
When asked by reporters about the new filing, Adams declined to comment and referred questions to his lawyers.
"Even Ray Charles can see what's going on," the mayor said. "I've said over and over again, I've done nothing wrong."
The mayor faces one count of wire fraud, one count of conspiracy, two counts of solicitation of a contribution from a foreign national and one count of bribery, Patch previously reported.
Prosecutors allege Adams received benefits and perks from the Turkish officials, including free and discounted airline tickets and hotel accommodations.
The perks were worth more than $100,000, prosecutors said.
Adams' corruption trial date is set for April 21, 2025.
