Flights Delayed At NYC Airports Due To Scattered Storms

NEW YORK CITY — Flights are currently delayed at two New York City area airports on Thursday, according to the FAA.
While a ground stop was issued at John F. Kennedy International Airport earlier in the day, customers are still facing delays of up to 30 minutes for departures. Inbound flights are being delayed at their origin an average of 2 hours.
Total flight cancellations at JFK are up to 17 on Thursday. Total delays are up to 403.

At LaGuardia Airport, departures are delayed over an hour. All inbound flights were being at their origin until 5 p.m., according to FlightAware.
There are currently 27 cancellations at LaGuardia, with 359 flights delayed.
