Florence Remnants May Dump Up To 2 Inches Of Rain On NYC
Flooding could hit parts of the New York City area.

NEW YORK — The remnants of Tropical Depression Florence could drop up to two inches of rain on the New York City area Tuesday. The deluge is expected to start Tuesday morning and continue through the evening before the skies clear, the National Weather Service says.
The rainfall will likely cause minor flooding in some areas, with an "isolated flash flood threat" in the places with the heaviest showers, the weather service says.
Thunderstorms are also possible Tuesday in Central Park, which is expected to see about three-quarters of an inch of rain before the day is out, the forecast shows.
