Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!
My son Liam is one of the kindest and humble people I have ever met. He puts 100% into everything he does, his friendships, his school work, his family and his focus on baseball. Not only does he deserve recognition for his outstanding achievements during high school, especially considering the challenging circumstances of starting remotely due to the COVID pandemic, but also for the amazing human being he is. Liam started his high school journey in his bedroom, due to Covid and didn't step into his new high school until 10th grade. Liam's determination and resilience shone through as he adapted to virtual learning and eventually transitioned back to in-person schooling, but remote school took a toll on his grades and he found it isolating and challenging. But, he managed to pull his grades up once he returned to in person school and the school building.
Throughout this time, Liam not only excelled academically but also discovered and pursued new passions, such as economics and finance and made the varsity baseball team. His commitment to his studies and personal growth led him to successfully gain admission to Syracuse University this year-- his first-choice school to pursue a business degree with a focus on analytics. Liam's decision to prioritize academics and his college experience by opting not to play baseball at the college level was a difficult choice because he has played and excelled at this sport since he was six years old. He is hoping to play club baseball -- which demonstrates his maturity and thoughtful approach to his future.
Liam's journey is a testament to his perseverance, adaptability, and dedication to personal growth. Recognizing Liam's accomplishments and resilience would not only celebrate his achievements but also inspire others facing similar challenges to strive for excellence and pursue their aspirations.
