NEW YORK CITY — The actor best known as the bullying big brother in the first two "Home Alone" movies faces a rape investigation in New York City, according to a report.

Devin Ratray, 45, was accused of drugging and raping a woman inside his Manhattan apartment in 2017, CNN first reported.

The woman reached out to CNN after she learned prosecutors closed the case because they incorrectly believed she didn't want to pursue charges, the news outlet reported.

The investigation has restarted, according to the CNN report.

Ratray, who denied the accusation to CNN, played Macaulay Culkin's older brother in "Home Alone" and "Home Alone 2: Lost In New York." He has continued working in films and television shows such as "Blue Ruin" and "Better Call Saul."

His accuser told CNN that she had been friends with him for 15 years before she met Ratray and others at a New York City bar. The evening ended with the group going to Ratray's apartment in Manhattan for another drink, where she said the actor seemed intent on giving her a specific glass, according to the story.

The woman became exhausted and Ratray encouraged her to sleep on his couch, she told CNN. After the group left, the actor sexually assaulted her for what felt like "an eternity," she told the outlet, according to the report.
