How To Get Tickets To Central Park Mega Concert
Tickets are still available for the star-studded lineup performing on Aug. 21 in Central Park. Here's how to get them.
NEW YORK, NY — Tickets are still on sale for the Central Park mega-concert taking place on Aug. 21 in Central Park in celebration of New York City reopening from coronavirus.
The star-studded lineup will include Paul Simon, Jennifer Hudson, Bruce Springsteen, The Killers, Carlos Santana, the New York Philharmonic, Elvis Costello, and many other major names.
"I've never heard of a concert with that kind of lineup," Mayor Bill de Blasio said after legendary producer and concert organizer Clive Davis announced the lineup for the first time a few weeks ago.

At the end of July, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that only people vaccinated against the coronavirus will be able to attend.
Around 80 percent of the tickets will be free, while the remaining 20 percent will be VIP sections costing you thousands of dollars.

Ticket sales began on Aug. 2, with additional tranches of free and VIP tickets being offered from Aug. 3 through 7.
The most expensive ticket for sale as of Thursday afternoon is a Vaccinated Platinum VIP Ticket going for $4,950.00.
The gates will open at 3 p.m. and the concert will be at 5 p.m. on Aug. 21. For those who aren't able to get tickets, the concert will air live worldwide exclusively on CNN, CNN International, CNN en Espanol, and unauthenticated on CNNGo.
However, there are still tickets to be had.
How To Get A Ticket
- Step 1: Go to the We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert's page on the city's website.
- Step 2: Click the "Purchase Tickets" option.
- Step 3: The link will take you to TicketMaster, which will automatically show you all available tickets. If only VIP tickets are available, check back in throughout the day to see if new free General Admission tickets appear.
