Hudson Excels At 'Sharing Is Caring': That's Why He's A Star Student

"Pure kindness is admirable!" Hudson's teacher said about him.

NEW YORK CITY — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Ms. Renée, a teacher who nominated her student Hudson of New York City.

Hudson is 4, but his compassion deserves recognition, Ms. Renée wrote.

How do you know the star local student?

I am his teacher.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

The focus is often about academic abilities - even at the tender age of 4 years old. However, I believe Hudson ought to be recognized for simply being a very much beloved 4-year-old classmate who can often be overheard reminding his peers that "sharing is caring".

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Pure kindness is admirable!

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Hudson!
