Human Remains Found At Bronx Trash Facility: NYPD
The remains were found early Tuesday morning, police said, and an investigation is ongoing.

BRONX, NY — Human remains were found at a Bronx trash station early Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.
A torso and leg of an unidentified woman were found at 287 Halleck St. in the Hunts Point neighborhood, police said. The listed address is the location of a Metropolitan Transfer Station, police said, where the city collects garbage from restaurants, hotels and offices to be picked up by long haul trucks.
An investigation is ongoing and the medical examiner will determine a cause of death.
