Human Remains Found In Suitcase Floating In East River: NYPD
The NYPD's Harbor Unit retrieved and transported the remains to Pier 16 on Wednesday.

NEW YORK CITY — Human remains were found inside a suitcase that was floating in the East River near Governor’s Island on Wednesday, police said.
Police were called to the scene after a passing ship noticed the suitcase in the water around 5:30 p.m.
The NYPD's Harbor Unit retrieved and transported the remains to Pier 16.
