New Jazz Festival Will Take Over Madison Square Park This Weekend: See Here
The festival is expected to showcase both renowned jazz performers and up-and-coming jazz talent.

NEW YORK CITY — A new two-day jazz festival at Madison Square Park in Manhattan will take place this weekend.
The NoMad Alliance, along with The Jazz Gallery, Flatiron NoMad Partnership and Madison Square Park Conservancy, are set to produce the inaugural NoMad Jazz Festival from August 9-10.
Officials told Patch that it will be a weekend filled with live music, family events, and community celebration free to the public across the Flatiron and NoMad districts.

The festival is expected to showcase both renowned jazz performers and up-and-coming jazz talent.
The lineup, curated by The Jazz Gallery’s Rio Sakairi, includes renowned artists such as Lizz Wright, Ravi Coltrane Quartet, Roy Hargrove Big Band, Michael Mayo, Dabin Ryu Trio, Arta Jēkabsone, Caracas Trio, and Melissa Almaguer, among others.

The week of the festival from August 3-8, NoMad and Flatiron neighborhoods hosted special pop up events and curated live performances, including a Gilded Gatsby Jazz Party.
The NoMad Jazz Festival is designed to be a community-centered celebration where you can relax, enjoy great food from local restaurants, and make memories with friends and family – all set to legendary performers and the next generation of jazz talent.
