Intersections International Hosts Community Dialogue on Post-Election Healing

Danita Branam's dialogue with #BlackLivesMatter activists and law enforcement personnel.

NEW YORK –Exactly one week after the Presidential election, on Tuesday November 15th, Intersections International will host the Danita Branam Dialogue, named for the Chair of Intersections’ Governing Board. The program will use song, spoken word, panel discussions and small-group conversations to examine the current state of polarization in the U.S. This year, the Danita Branam Dialogue brings together a diverse panel of experts and community leaders, including law enforcement personnel and #blacklivesmatter activists, to engage in conversation across their unique viewpoints, and to begin to bridge the deep divisions that the presidential election has worsened. The dialogue will be moderated by Intersections International’s Deputy Director Farid Johnson, an African American Muslim and veteran of the U.S. armed services.
