John Hinckley Jr. Plans Another NYC Concert, But Won't Say Where
"The venue will be known to ticket holders," said President Ronald Reagan's would-be assassin. Patch bought a ticket: here's what we found.

NEW YORK CITY — Would-be presidential assassin turned aspiring musician John Hinckley Jr. is taking another shot at a New York City concert, but won't say where.
"The venue will be known to ticket holders," Hinckley tweeted Tuesday.
But a Patch reporter who bought a $50 ticket for the planned June 7 is no closer to knowing what venue is hosting the man who tried to kill former President Ronald Reagan.

The eventbrite ticket is barren of any details. A QR code on the ticket links to a cedar-scented antiperspirant.
The concert organizer — which Patch attempted to contact through eventbrite — didn't return a request for more details on the venue.

All the details that Patch can report on the show are that it will be June 7 from 9 to 11:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time.
"Join us for a night of music, drinks, and good vibes at the John Hinckley Jr .event - it's gonna be lit!" the event post states.
"Come join us for an exciting event featuring John Hinckley in person! Get ready to be inspired by his incredible journey and insights. This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from John himself and learn from his experiences. Don't miss out on this chance to be a part of something special. Mark your calendars and secure your spot today!"
The secrecy behind the planned is perhaps unsurprising, given Hinckley's 2022 attempt to woo New York music lovers resulted in his concert hosts canceling the event.
The admitted "stunt booking" wasn't worth putting others at risk, hosts at Brooklyn's Market Hotel posted at the time.
"It's worth reiterating that this guy performing harms no one in any practical way," they wrote in the post. "This is a sexagenarian with an acoustic guitar."
Hinckley spent decades in a mental hospital after a jury found him not guilty by reason of insanity for shooting at Reagan. He achieved full freedom in 2022 and planned to begin his "Redemption" music tour in Brooklyn, until the venue hosts canceled the show.
Since then, Hinckley has shows either canceled or postponed, including one on March 30, the 43rd anniversary of the day he shot Reagan, the Hartford Courant reported.
