Where: Pier 6, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Atlantic Ave.
The Williamsburg pizzeria based at Brooklyn Bridge Park has a perfect view of the action. Grab a slice from one of Fornino’s classic pies and settle in at one of the indoor picnic tables or grab a patio seat overlooking the water. A rooftop beer garden pours selections from Perone and Brooklyn Brewery, and wine will be served by the glass. Fornino will be open until 11 p.m. Entry is on a first come basis.
Ravel Hotel
Where: 8-08 Queens Plaza South
The Ravel Hotel in Long Island City will host a fireworks rooftop viewing from 3 to 11 p.m. Spectators will need to get tickets, but the view from Ravel’s Penthouse808 rooftop promises to be impressive. General admission tickets are standing room only, with a two-hour open bar available for VIP purchasers. The cost to attend ranges from $50 to $1,500.
Brooklyn Grange (LIC)
Where: 37-18 Northern Blvd.
Not to be confused with Brooklyn Grange’s sold-out Fourth of July party at its Brooklyn farm, the Long Island City-based farm has announced a celebration at its Queens flagship, with tickets costing $75. The event will feature tasty eats, local brew, a live DJ and — of course — a wide, open view of the fireworks. Brooklyn Grange touts the occasion as low-key, and wine and beer will be sold throughout the evening.
WNYC Transmitter Park
Where: West Street between Kent Street and Greenpoint Avenue
WNYC Transmitter Park opened to the Greenpoint-Williamsburg communities in 2012 as a local waterfront destination and was once the home of the WNYC radio transmission towers. Today, it offers natural areas and places for fishing, play and recreational events. The park includes an overlook to the south, seating and a waterfront esplanade.
Salvation Taco
Where: 145 E 39th St.
Murray Hill’s Salvation Taco has invited the public to join in on its Fourth of July event from 7 to 11 p.m. The taco spot will be offering a food and beverage special on its rooftop, and tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. General admission is $35. Reservations are encouraged.
