Mail Service Canceled As Trump Orders Day Of Mourning For Bush
The U.S. Postal Service won't deliver mail Wednesday to mark a "national day of mourning" for the 41st president.

NEW YORK — New Yorkers should get their letters out now — the U.S. Postal Service will halt regular mail service Wednesday to honor the late President George H.W. Bush.
To observe the "national day of mourning" declared by President Donald Trump, the USPS says it will not deliver regular mail or open post offices on Wednesday, when Bush is set to be given a funeral at the National Cathedral in Washington. Package delivery will also be limited, the postal service says.
The New York Stock Exchange will also be closed Wednesday to mark the occasion.

Bush, a one-term Republican who led the nation from 1989 to 1992, died Friday night at the age of 94. Trump remembered him as a "truly wonderful man" whose "accomplishments were great from beginning to end."
The day of mourning is reportedly a tradition — the U.S. stock markets also closed for a day to mark the 2007 death of President Gerald Ford, according to CBS News.
