Man, 21, Charged In Fatal Shooting of NYC YouTuber: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the fatal shooting of a New York City YouTuber last month, police said.

Mohamed Sawaneh, 21, of the Bronx, is accused of killing 37-year-old Jeremy Cummings on July 2, police said.

Sawaneh has been charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a firearm, among other charges, police said.

Cummings suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the back near Eighth Avenue and West 118th Street, police said.

The 37-year-old victim apparently ran a YouTube channel called JermSportsTV, which had more than 35,000 subscribers.

The channel consisted of a number of sporting event clips and Madden video game play throughs.
