Man, 73, Falls To His Death After Trying To Escape Home Invasion
In the midst of the robbery, the 73-year-old man attempted to escape and fell from a six-floor apartment window.
NEW YORK CITY — An 73-year-old man fell to his death from a window as he tried to escape a home invasion in Manhattan over the weekend.
The incident happened at an apartment building near 161st Street and Broadway in Washington Heights around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, police said.
A burglar gained access to the apartment by climbing up a fire escape and opening a window. He then let two others suspects inside, police said.

The suspects tied up a 40-year-old man, stealing a gold chain and some cash.

He was transported to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Descriptions of the suspects were not readily available as of Monday morning.
The three suspects are still at large.
