Man Attacked, Slashed By 3 Suspects In Manhattan: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for three suspects who attacked and slashed a man in Lower Manhattan over the weekend.

The incident happened on Sunday at the corner of East 8th Street and Cooper Square around 3:35 p.m., police said.

The three suspects approached a 24-year-old man and took a iPhone from his hand. When the man tried to get his phone back, the three suspects punched him and slashed his hand with a knife.

The trio then fled the scene on bicycles, traveling eastbound on East 8 Street, police said.

The 24-year-old man was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
