Man Stabbed To Death On Manhattan Street: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — A man was stabbed to death near Times Square early Monday morning, police said.

A 23-year-old man was found stabbed multiple times in the back near West 49th Street and Seventh Avenue around 1:10 a.m.

The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim has since identified as Daevon Silva, of Rhode Island.

It is not known what led up to the deadly stabbing. No arrests have been made.

A possible description of a suspect was not readily available.

An investigation remains ongoing.

Also in Midtown on Sunday, a 39-year-old man was shot and killed near West 46th Street and 12th Avenue.
