Motorcyclist Killed In NYC Two-Vehicle Crash: NYPD

The motorcyclist, identified as Desmond Paige, was thrown to the pavement, and suffered severe head and body trauma, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A 24-year-old man from South Carolina died when the motorcycle he was riding in hit an SUV attempting to make a right turn in midtown Manhattan Monday, police said.

At 10:42 p.m., a Toyota SUV was traveling northbound on 6th Avenue and as it attempted to make a right turn on West 42nd Street, it was struck by a Liefan motorcycle, police said.

The motorcyclist, identified as Desmond Paige, was thrown to the pavement, and suffered severe head and body trauma, police said.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene, police said.
