MTA Subway Delays: Slowdowns Hit These Trains During Rush Hour
Straphangers saw delays on several subway lines Thursday morning.

NEW YORK CITY — Subway delays hit several lines Thursday morning as bleary-eyed straphangers started their days.
A train's brakes were activated near Times Square-42nd Street and caused slowdowns on the 2/3 line, according to a 7:34 a.m. post by the MTA.
The investigation appears to be over and trains have resumed stops, officials said.

Similarly, a Q train's brakes were activated near Sheepshead Bay, an 8:05 a.m. post by the MTA states. It caused delays for northbound trains, officials said.
Passengers on the D train expecting local stops between Bay 50th Street to Bay Parkway were in for a surprise. D trains headed north ran express as MTA crews investigated a mechanical problem on a train at 25th Avenue, according to an 8:39 a.m. post.

And early morning straphangers on the A/Rockaway Park shuttle trains saw delays in both directions as the South Channel Bridge opened to let boats pass, according to a 5:24 a.m. tweet.
