New Composite Sketch Released Of Man Whose Remains Were Found In 1997

NEW YORK CITY — Police have released new composite images in an effort to identify a man whose remains were found in Harlem close to three decades ago.

Back on August 1, 1997, officers found the remains of an unidentified man inside a building on West 121st Street.

The unidentified man is believed to have been between 20 and 30 years old, and stood between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, police said. He also had a short, black Afro hairstyle.

The city’s medical examiner has yet to determine the man’s cause of death, police said.
