New Public Library Opens In Far Rockaway
The Far Rockaway Library, located at 1637 Central Avenue, will be open seven days a week, officials said.
NEW YORK CITY — The Queens Public Library opened a new library in Far Rockaway Tuesday.
The Far Rockaway Library, located at 1637 Central Avenue, will be open seven days a week, officials said.
The new library features a teen room and computer area on its first floor. An adult and children reading areas on the second floor, as well as meeting rooms.

The new library will have 32 public computers, 32 public laptops and nearly 30,000 books, periodicals and other publications.
The hours for the Far Rockaway Library will be:

- Mondays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Thursdays: 12 – 8 p.m.
- Fridays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sundays: 12pm – 5 p.m.
