New York City Weekend Subway Service Alert

New York City, NY — Here are some of the major subway changes impacting travelers this weekend. You can always get more detailed information on the MTA's Weekender website.

1 Train:

• From 6 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Saturday, and from 8 a.m. Sunday to 1:59 p.m. Sunday, downtown and uptown trains skip 18th Street, 23rd Street and 28th Street (2/3 lines provide alternate service)
• From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m Monday, trains won't run from 14th Street to South Ferry (use the 2/3 for alternate service)

2 Train:

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, E 180th St.-bound trains run express from 241 St. to E 180 St. (Wakefield-bound 2 trains provide alternate service)
• From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains will run locally between 34th Street and Chambers Street

3 Train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 3 trains will run between 148th Street and New Lots Ave, replacing the 4 train in Brooklyn
• From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains will run locally from 34th Street to Chambers Street

4 Train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains aren't running from Brooklyn Bridge to Utica Ave/New Lots Ave (multiple lines provide alternate service)
• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains run locally between 125th St. and Brooklyn Bridge

5 Train:

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 9:30 a.m. Sunday, 2 trains will replace the 5 train's Dyre Avenue shuttle. (during those hours, 2 trains will make all 5 train stops from E 180th St. to Dyre Avenue)
• On Saturday and Sunday, trains won't run between Grand Central and Bowling Green (4, 6 and R trains provide alternate service)

6 Train:

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Pelham Bay Park-bound trains will run express from Parkchester to Pelham Bay Park (Brooklyn Bridge-bound 6 trains provide alternate service)
• For much of Saturday and Sunday, trains will run every 16 minutes between 3rd Avenue-138 St. and Pelham Bay Park

7 Train:

• From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m Sunday, Flushing-bound trains skip 82, 90, 103 and 111 Streets (Hudson Yards-bound 7 trains provide alternate service)

A Train:

• From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains won't run from 168 St. to 207 St. (1 trains and a shuttle bus provide alternate service)
• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, A trains run on the F line between W. 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech in both directions (E and J trains provide alternate service)
• During those hours, A trains will skip Spring, Canal, Chambers, Fulton and High Streets (multiple alternate service options exist)
• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ozone Park/Far Rockaway-bound trains will skip 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Streets (uptown A trains provide alternate service)

C Train:

• On Saturday and Sunday, trains won't run between 145 St. and 168 St. (A trains provide alternate service)
• All weekend, trains run on the F line from W. 4 St. to Jay St-MetroTech (E and J trains provide alternate service)
• All weekend, trains skip Spring, Canal, Chambers, Fulton and High Streets (multiple service options exist)
• All weekend, Euclid Av.-bound trains skip 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 86, 81 and 72 Streets (uptown C trains provide alternate service)

E Train:

• From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains run locally in both directions between Queens Plaza and 71st Avenue

L Train:

• From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains won't run from Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenue to Rockaway Pkwy. (a shuttle bus provides alternate travel)

F Train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound trains skip Bergen St., Carroll St. and Smith-9 Street (Jamaica-bound F trains provide alternate service)
• From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains run local in both directions between 21 St.-Queensbridge and 71st Avenue

N Train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Astoria-bound trains will run on the D line from Stillwell Avenue to 36th St.
• During those hours, there will be no Astoria-bound service at 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18 Avenue, Fort Hamilton Pkwy., 8th Avenue, and 59ht, 53rd and 45th Streets (Coney Island-bound N trains provide alternate service)

G Train:

• From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, trains won't run between Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Church Av (A and F trains provide alternative service — but F trains will skip Bergen St., Carroll St. and Smith-9 Streets in the Coney-Island direction, so for service to those stops, you'll have to pass them, then transfer to a Jamaica-bound F train)
