New York City Weekend Subway Service Alert

For July 30 and July 31

NEW YORK CITY, NY — Here are this weekend's major scheduled subway changes. (You can get additional details on the MTA's Weekender website.)

2 trains:

  • E 180 St-bound trains run express from 241 St to E 180 St

3 trains:

  • Service is extended to New Lots Av

4 trains:

  • No trains between Brooklyn Bridge and Utica Av/New Lots Av
  • Trains run local in both directions between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge

5 trains:

  • No trains between Grand Central-42 St and Bowling Green

A trains:

  • Trains run via the F line in both directions between W 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech

C trains:

  • Trains run via the F line in both directions between W 4 St and Jay St-MetroTech

E trains:

  • Trains run via the F line in both directions between W 4 St and 21 St-Queensbridge

D trains:

  • From midnight on Saturday through Monday morning, Coney Island-bound D trains will run locally from 125th Street to Columbus Circle

F trains:

  • From midnight on Saturday through Monday morning, Coney Island-bound F trains will run locally from 71st Avenue to 21 Street-Queensbridge
  • From Friday at 11:45 p.m. through Monday at 5 a.m., Jamaica-bound F trains will skip 75 Avenue, Briarwood and Sutphin Blvd. Transit to those stops will be provided by Coney Island-bound F trains and E trains, among other options.

N trains:

  • All weekend, N trains will run on the D line in both directions between 36th Street and Stillwell Avenue. R trains and shuttle buses will provide alternate service.

R trains:

  • The 36th Street-bound shuttle train stops at 53rd Street and 45th Street all weekend
  • Forest Hills-bound trains will run express from Queens Plaza to 71st Avenue. Manhattan-bound E, F and R trains provide alternate service, among other options.
