NEW YORK CITY — It's Election Day at last and the polls in New York City closed at 9 p.m., so all that's left is the counting.
Votes are being tallied up for New York's 73rd Assembly District between Assemblymember Alex Bores and Republican challenger Awadhesh Gupta.

More than 500,000 Manhattan residents had voted as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the NYC Board of Elections (BOE).

- Alex Bores – 39454 votes (73.44%)
- Awadhesh Gupta – 14180 votes (26.40%)
