NYC Alternate Side Parking Suspended, Again, Because Of Air Quality
New Yorkers don't have to move their cars Thursday or Friday. They also shouldn't go outside.

NEW YORK CITY — Here's one silver lining to New York City's orange-tinged wildfire smoke-filled skies: no alternate side parking.
Alternate side parking will be suspended citywide Thursday and Friday because of air quality, officials said.
The city's air quality, as a refresher (no pun intended), was the worst in the world Wednesday, according to the monitoring site IQAir.

City officials have urged New Yorkers to stay inside as long as the wildfire smoke from Canada lingers, which could be for a while.
And although alternate side parking will be paused, payment at parking meters will remain in effect, officials said.
