NYC-Based Cool Sips, Poppi Debut Limited-Edition 'Dirty Sodas' Drinks: See Here

NEW YORK CITY — Cool Sips, New York City’s first standalone "dirty soda" concept, has teamed up with soda brand poppi to debut a trio of limited-edition drinks, available exclusively at the newly opened Cool Sips Soho location beginning Thursday.

The three new drinks blend poppi’s prebiotic sodas with Cool Sips’ signature creamy mix-ins, officials told Patch.

The collaboration marks Cool Sips' first partnership with a national brand since launching in March 2024. The brand has three other locations in Manhattan.

The new collaboration menu includes:

  • Boardwalk Buzz – Classic Cola poppi, blue raspberry, coconut, sweet cream
  • Tropic Like It’s Hot – Punch Pop poppi, lime, pineapple, sweet cream
  • Campfire Crush – Doc Pop poppi, strawberry, toasted marshmallow, vanilla cream

“Our customers know Cool Sips for drinks that are nostalgic, indulgent, and a little unexpected, and this collaboration really captures all of that. By pairing poppi’s cult-favorite sodas with our signature creamy mix-ins, we’re giving fans something fresh but still feels familiar. It’s a playful, colorful, and craveable new twist on dirty soda that brings together the best of both brands.," Andrew Moger, founder of Cool Sips, told Patch.

Moger also gave some insight into creating the names for the limited edition drinks.

"With this collaboration, we leaned into the beach-town nostalgia that runs through all of our branding and then layered in a little whimsy to match the playful spirit of poppi. So you get ‘Boardwalk Buzz,’ which feels like a summer night at the beach, ‘Tropic Like It’s Hot’ as a wink to bold flavors, and ‘Campfire Crush,’ which ties into that cozy, indulgent marshmallow moment. The goal is always to make the drinks feel like more than just what’s in the cup; they’re an experience," he said.

The limited-edition poppi drinks will be available at the Cool Sips Soho location while supplies last.

Chelsea Bartling, Vice President of Food Service, poppi, told Patch that the collaboration "is the perfect way to bring poppi into a sharable, craveable format while staying true to our mission of making modern soda fun and accessible to everyone."

The Soho location, located at 156 Sullivan Street, will also host a giveaway event on Saturday, September 13. The first 100 visitors will get a limited-edition Cool Sips x poppi tote and a free drink coupon.

In addition, select totes will feature “golden tickets” redeemable for prizes including free drinks for a week, branded merch, and gift cards.

Moger said that the team is "incredibly energized" about where Cool Sips is headed.

"In two years, we’ve grown from one shop at Rockefeller Center to four locations across the city, and the reception has been amazing. Collaborations like this one with poppi show how we can partner with brands that share our values of flavor, creativity, and community, while also introducing new audiences to the category. The future here is bright: we see Cool Sips not just as a local favorite, but as a concept with the potential to grow well beyond New York," he said.
