NYC Ferry Prices Set To Increase Beginning Next Month

NEW YORK CITY — Riding the NYC Ferry is going to get more expensive beginning next month, according to officials.
On Sept. 9, single-trip tickets will increase from $4 to $4.50, and the cost of a ten-trip bundle will jump from $27.50 to $29, according to a press release.
Each ticket in a ten-trip bundle will be $2.90 matching subway and bus fares, according to the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

The NYC Ferry Discount Program will continue to operate and provide $1.45 rides for seniors people with disabilities and low-income riders.
NYC high school students will be able to get reduced fares for weekday travel to and from school beginning on Sept. 1.

Applications for this program opened last Thursday on the New York City Student Account portal.
In addition, NYC Ferry will be enhancing its vessels with free WiFi and more services.
Summer routes like the Rockaway Rocket, offering trips from Long Island City and Greenpoint to Rockaway Beach are expected to continue, according to officials.
