NYC Juneteenth: Where To Rally, March And Celebrate
Here are just a few Juneteenth events happening in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY — As the nation combats a deadly disease and grapples with its history of systemic racism, New Yorkers will take to their cars and the streets this Juneteenth to celebrate and demand justice for Black Americans.
Marches, motorcades and rallies are scheduled Friday across New York City to say Black Lives Matter on the 155th anniversary of one of too many official ends to slavery.

WHAT: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams will lead a troupe of New Yorkers in a motorcade from Brooklyn to Manhattan to commemorate those who died at the hands of police.
WHEN: 11 a.m. rally, noon caravan

WHERE: The motorcade starts at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch by Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, then proceed to City Hall en route to the Harlem State Office Building.
Cel-Liberation Rally
WHAT: Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Council members Farah Louis and Laurie A. Cumbo host a youth-led rally at the Brooklyn Public Library with a moment of silence for Black lives lost to police brutality.
WHEN: 10 a.m. to noon

Restoration Virtual Juneteenth Celebration
WHAT: Restoration Plaza celebrates Juneteenth online and in the Bed-Stuy square with conversation about the holiday's historic significance, music and dance.

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Say Their Names Demonstration
WHAT: Demonstrators will ring bells and read the names of people who have lost their lives to police violence.
WHEN: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
WHERE: The corner of West 96th Street and Broadway in Manhattan
Black Lives Matter Tribute Unveiled On Museum Mile
WHAT: The Africa Center will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement on the windows of Aliko Dangote Hall.
WHEN: 10 a.m.
WHERE: The intersection of Museum Mile and Harlem at Fifth Avenue East 110th Street, and live streaming on Facebook.
