NYC Man Damaged License Plates On Secret Service Vehicles
Harry Heymann, 45, has been charged with obstructing governmental administration and criminal mischief, police said.
NEW YORK CITY — A New York City man has been arrested and charged after he allegedly damaged license plates covers on a Secret Service vehicle in Manhattan Tuesday.
The vehicle was assigned to Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, according to a TMZ report.
Harry Heymann, 45, has been charged with obstructing governmental administration and criminal mischief, police said.

At around 12:40 p.m., Heymann is accused of approaching the unmarked vehicles outside a Tribeca restaurant on Hudson Street and broke license plate covers on the back of the vehicle.
Heymann was detained by Secret Service detail and then placed in NYPD custody.

The Secret Service issued a statement after the incident:
"On Tuesday afternoon, an individual approached two United States Secret Service vehicles parked in lower Manhattan and, without provocation, caused damage to the rear license plate area of both. Secret Service agents quickly detained the individual until local authorities arrived and placed the individual into police custody. At no point was any protectee in danger as a result of this incident."
