- The Adams administration has a new plan to voluntarily house single men in hotels in Rockland and Orange Counties, north of New York City, for four months. They would still be provided the same city-funded services. The announcement, made late on Friday, drew resistance from some local officials in those areas. (Gothamist)
- Protestors jumped into the subway rails on the Upper East Side F and Q Lexington Avenue-63rd Street station on Saturday evening, close to the potentially deadly electrified third rail, protesting the death of Jordan Neely, which has been ruled a homicide. The demonstration left a Q train in a tunnel for over half an hour. (AMNY)
- Donald Trump on Sunday afternoon missed the deadline to testify in a civil trial in New York. Writer E. Jean Carroll alleges Trump raped her in 1996 in a luxury department store dressing room. (Spectrum News NY1)
- New York City could once again find itself with a lifeguard shortage this summer, depending how many are certified and hired in the next two months. The parks department is on track to hire about 900 for the season, and they say there's 200 "new lifeguards" in a lifeguard training program. (New York Post)
- Four people are in critical condition after an apartment fire in Washington Heights, including a 98-year-old woman, according to neighbors. Police recovered an e-bike from the scene, but said they don't think it was the cause of the fire. (Pix 11 New York)
