NYC Schools Go Remote Friday Amid Hazardous Wildfire Air Quality
All public school students scheduled to attend classes Friday will instead have a remote learning day, officials said.

NEW YORK CITY — In-person classes for New York City public school students will be canceled Friday as a blanket of wildfire smoke brings the city's air quality to unhealthy levels, officials said.
Students instead will have a remote learning day Friday, according to a tweet from the city's Department of Education.
For schools serving 3K, Pre-K, K-5, 6-8, K-12, and D75:
As previously planned, tomorrow is a Clerical Day and a regularly scheduled non-attendance day for students in these schools.

The shift will mostly affect high school students as other grades and schools were previously scheduled to have a day off.
