NYC Subway Delays, Changes for The July 6 Commute

Will the subways make you late to work today?

NEW YORK, NY — We don't want to jinx things, but it's looking like another smooth ride on the New York City subways this Thursday morning.

As of 9:20 a.m., the MTA's subway status widget was only showing delays on two lines. Because of a train with mechanical problems at Forest Hills-71st Avenue, M and R trains are running with delays in both directions.

Otherwise, the MTA was showing all green and reporting "good service," except for planned work on the M and S line. That, after a brief disruption on the L line caused by a "sick passenger."

Of course, "signal problems" or another "sick passenger" could pop up at any time. So Patch will be updating this post throughout the morning with the latest on subway delays and changes as it becomes available.
