Will you make it to work on time today?

NEW YORK, NY — It was looking like another mostly smooth day for the city's subway system this Friday morning commute, which would make this a (albeit short) week with no major disruptions, but good things cannot last.
Several trains were running with delays during the morning jam Friday. Most dramatically, a track fire at Bedford Avenue caused delays on the L train.

There were some delays on the M and R trains because of signal problems at Forest Hills-71st Avenue. And 5 and 6 trains were running with delays because of signal problems in the Bronx.
