NYC Subway Delays, Changes: Major Lines Thrown Into Chaos During Monday Commute
BREAKING: An investigation at Broadway-Lafayette and signal problems in Midtown made for a messy Monday morning commute.

NEW YORK, NY — A combination of an investigation and signal power problems in Manhattan threw off service on the B/D/F/M line during the heart of the Monday morning commute.
The B line was shut down completely, the M train wasn't running at all in most of Queens and Manhattan, and D and F trains had altered service in Manhattan.
By 9:30 a.m., the lines were back running with regular service but "extensive" delays. (For more subway updates, and other New York City news, subscribe to Patch to get a daily newsletter and breaking news alerts. And find your NYC neighborhood here.)

The MTA, which is controlled by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, initially said the changes were due to power problems at Rockefeller Center, then changed it to Bryant Park. By 9 a.m., the agency was back to blaming it on the Rockefeller Center station again.
Some commuters reported being stuck on trains for long periods of time.

Here was the full list of changes, according to the MTA, before things went back to normal:
- No B train service between Norwood-205 St and Coney Island Still-Well Av in both directions.
- No M train service between Forest Hills-71 Av and Delancey-Essex St in both directions.
- Northbound D trains stop along the A line from W 4 St-Washington Sq to 59 St-Columbus Circle.
- Some northbound F trains are stopping along the G Subway line from Bergen St to Queens Plaza and then on the E Subway line to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.
- Expect delays on A, B, C, D, E, F, G and M trains.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
