NEW YORK CITY — Mechanical, medical and signal problems caused nine subway lines to run with delays Wednesday morning, according to the MTA.

D trains ran slow in both directions because of a signal problem at Ninth Avenue, the MTA posted at 8:42 a.m.

A person in need of medical help at West Fourth Street-Washington Square caused delays for A trains headed north, according to an 8:36 a.m. post.

N/R/W trains headed south were slowed as crews removed a train with a door problem from 34th Street-Herald Square, an 8:10 a.m. post states.

The A line headed north ran with delays after crews removed a train that needed cleaning at West Fourth Street-Washington Square, according to a 7:50 a.m. post.

Likewise, 5 line trains also ran slow because of train that needed cleaning at Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College, the MTA posted at 7:08 a.m.

A Q train that had its brakes activated at 57th Street-Seventh Avenue caused delays, a 6 a.m. post states.

And Staten Island Railway trains in both directions ran slow because of a mechanical problem at Arthur Kill, according to an 8:43 a.m. post.
