NYC Subway Delays: Signal Problems, Halted Trains Rankle 9 Lines

Watch out for delays or service changes on these lines this morning.

NEW YORK, NY — Signal problems and stopped trains rankled commutes on nine subway lines Thursday morning. Issues at DeKalb Avenue forced northbound Q trains to run local on the R line from DeKalb to Canal Street, delaying B, Q and R trains, according to an MTA alert.

Normal B and Q train service had resumed as of 8:10 a.m.

Signal problems at the Kosciuszko Street and 121st Street stops also caused Broad Street-bound delays on the J and Z lines, the MTA said, while signal issues at 36th Street delayed northbound D trains.

Three lines were impacted by trains unexpectedly hitting their brakes.

Some southbound A trains stopped at Euclid Avenue because a train's brakes were activiated at Grant Avenue, the MTA said. Service had resumed as of 8:02 a.m.
