NYC Weather: 3 Days Of Rain Ahead As Sunny Skies Depart

NEW YORK CITY — So long, sunshine — a sodden slog of showers is likely coming to New York City.

The city faces a strong chance of rain for three straight days starting Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.

"Showers likely," Wednesday night's forecast states.

Up to a half-inch of rain could fall Wednesday evening, the forecast states.

More showers are likely Thursday, which carries a 70 percent chance of precipitation, according to the forecast.

Rain is slightly less likely Friday, but New Yorkers can expect gray skies, the forecast states.

Those cloudy skies likely won't stick around for the weekend.

Sunny skies, along with highs near 60 degrees, are forecast for Saturday and Sunday, according to the forecast.
