Highs near 85 degrees are forecast in parts of New York City, notably Brooklyn, after morning showers and potential thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service's forecast.
Rain is expected to fall through the morning, with a slight chance of lingering until about 2 p.m., the forecast states.

"Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 84," Brooklyn's forecast for Wednesday afternoon states.

Showers are expected to return Thursday, with daytime temperatures falling to 62 degrees, the forecast states.
New Yorkers can expected a high of 55 degrees and a 50 percent chance of showers Friday, according to the forecast.
